Care for Upholstered Furniture

Leather Care:
Custom Leather® leather is treated with protective products at the factory. Regular dusting with a damp, clean cloth is advised. For further care and handling, please see your retailer.

Fabric Care: Soiled areas should be cleaned as advised by fabric manufacturers based on the following cleaning codes:

W: water-based cleaning agents
WS: water-based cleaning agents or mild, water-free solvents
X: Vacuum or brush lightly and do not use foam or liquid cleaning agents
V: Wash with warm water and mild soap only. Vacuum thoroughly and regularly. Removable cushions should be fluffed regularly.

Cautions:

  • Do not remove cushion covers for dry cleaning or for separate washing.
  • Do not use bleach, oily substances or strong detergents (including laundry detergents).
  • Keep ink, fluids, body oils, chemicals and sharp objects away from your leather and fabric furniture.
  • Exposure of leather to sun or extreme light sources may cause fading and damage.
  • Upholstery with moving mechanisms should be operated with extreme care. Failure to follow these directions can result in injury and/or damage.
  • Care should be taken when moving furniture within your home. Carefully wrap the furniture, including any corners and the feet or bottom of the furniture, with a protective covering. This will help to avoid damage to floors and/or wall surfaces, as well as helping to prevent damage to the furniture itself. To protect hardwood and linoleum flooring from being scratched when repositioning furniture, that the furniture be placed on a protective area rug.
  • Do not allow children to play on mechanized furniture or to operate mechanisms.
  • Before operating, ensure legs rests and other moving parts are clear of limbs and other obstructions.
  • For your safety, do not stand on chairs, and do not sit on ottomans.
  • Please refer to assembly instructions, where applicable, for further information.
